Big News - Elise makes waves!
On Saturday Elise Velasquez set a new team record in Girls 7-8 25m Fly,  with a time of 22.81,  breaking the old record of 22.97 set by Mary Margaret Johns in 1990.

Please RSVP for the July 6 meet BEFORE you go away for the weekend.  RSVPs are due Saturday.  We would really like 100% response for this meet and all future meets.  A little time on your part really helps out the organizers. If you have any trouble I am happy to help you figure out how to get access.  I know it doesn't seem like a big deal in the big scheme of things, but remember that meets are organized by volunteers. Any ambiguous information causes additional effort for organizers and coaches.  It also means that your swimmers aren't likely to be put in relays.

Volunteering
If you are not able to get to the volunteering list on the website please let me know. 

Thank you for helping out, we really can't do it without you!  Traci, the meet director, is out this week.  Let's get all the volunteer slots filled and then we don't need to ask someone else to coordinate volunteer assigments. Automating the process is the intent of the online sign up .  Many families are away this week, so we have fewer swimmers and parents available. The good news is that Sterling Park should have their share of volunteers, so we just need to fill in our usual slots.

Problems
Some families have experienced problems with signing up, where they think they signed up, but then it appears their names or response aren't showing up anymore.  I'd like to recommend to anyone having this problem avoid using your smart phone or ipad.  I can't guarantee that this is the problem, but we are suspicious that there could be a link.
