Thank you all that were able to attend the time trials this past weekend and for your generous donation of time!   The results are posted on the calendar for you and your child to see.   If you need help, please do not hesitate reaching out to us.

Special thanks to Jenni Burch for picking up the yummy donuts!  They were motivational!!   

Upcoming events:

• Swimmer Count -   We have approximately 80 Swimmers.  Our goal is 100.  If you know of other swimmers that would like to participate, please tell them about us!  
• Swim Team Practice each night - 6 pm to 8 pm Monday - Thursday.  Remember, no practice on Fridays
• Stroke and Turn Clinic - June 10th or 15th held at the Herndon Community Center @ 7 p.m.  If you are interested in being a stroke and turn judge and haven't done this role in the past, please consider attending the clinic. 
• Spirit Night - Our spirit nights allow us to collect a portion of the sales at the locations selected.  Please check the calendar for the nights planned and stay tuned for the venue.  As an example, Chipotle will provide us with 50% of the sales on a particular night.  No extra action on your part but to show up and treat your family to dinner!  
• Fun Events - It would not be swim team without the fun, team building events that help to build and support our community. Here are a few events that are currently being planned.  If you have other suggestions, don't hesitate to send us a note!  
  • Teen Party - Diane Smith is taking the lead.  She will scheduling the event and providing all of us with details.  This will be on the calendar once she has finalized
  • Pizza Party June 27th - Rosemary DeBenedittis has graciously stepped up and is taking the lead on the planning of the pizza party for the team.  This is tentative for a Saturday evening ~ more details to come
  • Ice Cream Social TBD - We are looking for a volunteer to help support this event.  If you are interested, please send an email to [email protected]
  • Family Carnival July 22nd Starting at 5 pm - Family Carnival allows the parents and other family members an opportunity to show off what they've got!  We have fun, untraditional events that is fun for all!  The date has not yet been selected ~ more to come on this event! 
  • Awards Banquet July 26th @ 5 pm  - This year's award banquet will be held at Four Seasons' Pool and catered by Jimmy's, our sponsor!  Swimmers are our guests.  However, we will be collecting for the family members participating.  More to come on that as well.  This is an event that you do not want to miss!  This includes the Paper Plate Awards, medals for our swimmers and a celebratory time for all that our successful season has ended.  Many thanks to Deana Alvy for working her magic to secure Jimmy's!  We are so excited to support our local restaurants and for changing it up this year!
