    Home vs. Hunter's Creek

What a great first meet! We want to thank you for "jumping in" and getting your feet wet during our first meet. I am sure some of you are asking questions, such as:

    • Meet Results - Posted on the swim meet tab for the meet in question. Click on the 1st tab for more information
    • DQ - Our stroke and turn officials evaluate our swimmers to ensure that the strokes are done correctly.  I am attaching a deck (see attached) that will guide you in reviewing the strokes with your child to avoid DQ
    • Our Coaches - We could not do this without our amazing coaches.  The feedback received about our coaches from our families and our opposing team was delightful.  Thank you for caring about our children and for going the extra mile to help them feel valued.

    A few items to recap:

    • Pool Set-Up - We need volunteers to set up the pool for home meets to start the meet on time.  This requires that you get to the pool no later than 7:00 a.m. to move the chairs around, set up lane lines, backstroke flags, etc. to get everyone ready for a successful event.  If you are able to support this, please sign up.
    • Volunteers - We want to thank all of our volunteers.  As a reminder, our swim team runs with volunteers.  Please sign up.  If you are unclear on a position, feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to talk about the positions and get you signed up otherwise, we will have to sign you up for a position.
    • Pool Clean-Up - After our home meets, volunteers are needed to put the pool back together.  If you are interested, please sign up.  In addition, we are happy to accept our teens to support this initiative and will provide signoff for service hours at the end of the seasons.  Let us know if you are interested in participating.
    • Concessions - We had a very successful day of concessions sales with different offerings.  We heard that our chef, Kevin Burch, cooked up some mean burgers and hot dogs!  Hats off to Kevin!!
    • 50 / 50 - Special thanks to Tom Alvy our 50 / 50 winner!  Not only is he the luckiest guy we know, but he won the 50 / 50 and donated his winnings back to Four Seasons! Thank you for the very generous donation Tom!
