    Swim Meets 101

Our first meet is Saturday. It's actually a Time Trial so we are not competing against another team. Please RSVP YES or NO online by WEDNESDAY night. I know everyone is busy, but we need you to take a couple minutes to do this. The purpose of the Time Trial is to:

    • Get initial times to help better place swimmers in heats with swimmers of similar speed; this makes heats more competitive and helps expedite meets
    • Help new swimmers and families understand how the meets are run
    • Allow our volunteers to get acquainted with the volunteer roles
    • Allow our coaches to set expectations with our swimmers
    • Verify that all equipment and materials are in working order

At the bottom of this note is a link to information that describes what you need to know about meets - timing, responsibilities.

Also you will find a link to detailed swimmer stroke guidelines if you want to help your swimmer swim the strokes properly.

    Highlights:

    1. Don't delay any longer, we need ALL families to RSVP YES or NO online by WEDNESDAY night for Saturday's Time Trial.
    2. We need all families with swimmers participating in the Time Trial to commit to volunteering online by Thursday.  If you have a problem or concern, please contact the volunteer coordinator, Lynette Ercanbrack at [email protected]. See FAQS/FAMILY PARTICIPATION if you missed the parent meeting for the new policy regarding Non-participation checks.
    3. Please bring checks if you have not paid your registration dues or handed in your Non-participation fee
    4. If you are volunteering for First Half concessions or Timing, we need you to arrive at 7am to help set up.
