Like all other aspects of our swim team operations, the swim team board is made up of volunteers. This year (the 2017 season) we had a full board, with several positions filled by new members learning the ropes.  We appreciate your patience as we dealt with the complicated learning curve and tried a few new team policies.

The end-of-season banquet signals the time of year for selecting board members that will serve for the next season, either by vote, or with a little cajoling.

I have spoken to the current board members and there is general interest among the Officers in serving again for the next year. There is an optional Director position that will become vacant. I think we are fortunate to have the opportunity for continuity, but we also want to make sure it is an open and fair process, and we encourage new membership in club leadership.

If you have interest in serving on the board, please let us know before Wednesday by replying to this email or sending one to me directly (contact info is below). If we get some interest for one of the Officer positions, we can hold a quick vote at the banquet. Otherwise, we’ll call it done.
